There is SO much to see and do in this area! Everything from White Water Rafting on the Kicking Horse River to the sightseeing gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort to paragliding or sky diving. The Rockies await - all you need to do is get here!
Yoho National Park & Glacier National Park are on either side of us and both provide endless opportunities for hiking and exploring. Plus Banff National Park & Kootenay National Park are both an easy drive for a day of exploring and sightseeing.

Golden area attractions
Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch - At one time millions of these magnificent creatures roamed the prairies and grasslands. Now their numbers have dwindled however you can still see a small herd in their natural surroundings. This unique ranch is only minutes from our cabins.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort - Located on the other side of Golden, the mountain is open for tourists year round. You can take a sightseeing gondola to the top of the mountain or visit Boo, the resident Grizzly Bear. http://kickinghorseresort.com/

Golden is on the western edge of the Rocky Mountains which makes it a great base for exploring all of the great and famous sites!
Lake Louise & Emerald Lake are about 80 minutes.
Emerald Lake & The Natural Bridge are about 50 minutes.
